Set in the heart of Johannesburg's leafy suburbs, you will find Linden's original farmhouse. It has been extensively renovated to its former glory with no expense spared on furnishing and decorating it in the style and luxury of yesteryear. The Farmhouse is a member of the South African Tourism Grading Council and has a four star grading.

The gardens are nothing short of magnificent, boasting beautiful old trees, pergolas, water features and a proliferation of African bird life and trellises dripping with roses. When sitting in the garden it is hard to believe that you are in the heart of Johannesburg. It feels as though you are a million miles from the CBD, yet you are only 15 minutes away from both Sandton and Johannesburg.

The Farmhouse is just 40 minutes from Johannesburg International Airport. Transfers can be arranged on request. There is a large selection of restaurants in nearby Parkhurst, Greenside and Melville where you can experience Johannesburg's Café Society.
Shopping and movies are just 5 minutes away at the Cresta shopping centre, and in nearby Rosebank, you will find the largest African Market in Johannesburg. Monte Casino and the Sandton Convention Centre are 15 minutes away.

The comfortable rooms available at The Farmhouse Linden have full on suite bathrooms, some offering bath and shower other shower or bath only, and are individually furnished in their own unique style. For your comfort each room features:

Bedroom 1 :This (extra length) green king room is an extension of the beautiful courtyard in which it is situated -  Currently undergoing major refurbishment

Bedroom 2 :A stream of sunlight enhances the beautiful buttery tones to create this warm and comfortable room.  The bathroom is unique, offering a ‘ball & claw’ bath -  currently undergoing major refurbishment

Bedroom 3 :Rich in plum tones and slightly smaller than the rest of the rooms, a grand set of double doors open out onto a courtyard. The room has a bath /shower en suite bathroom – currently undergoing major refurbishment

Bedroom 4 :This roomy ’mini apartment’ offers a bedroom with en suite shower as well as a kitchenette. The bright, yet cosy, sitting area has large “squashy“ leather chairs to make your stay comfortable and relaxing -  currently undergoing major refurbishment

Bedroom 5 :Our honeymoon suite is an elegant room, decorated in pleasing neutral colours with double stained glass doors leading onto the garden. The bathroom has a  "ball and claw" bath with shower.

Bedroom 6 :This tucked away room is ideal for those who wish to get away from it all. Fitted with a fully equipped kitchenette, this room offers comfort and convenience. The en suite bathroom is a shower facility only – currently undergoing major refurbishment

Bedroom 7 :A comfortable and stylish large room, equipped with a kitchenette, wing back chair and coffee table as well as a king size bed. The new bathroom offers both bath and separate shower.

Bedroom 8 :A comfortable and stylish large room, equipped with a  semi kitchenette, with an extra length, extra depth king size bed, this room has a lovely view onto the swimming pool.  It is tastefully decorated and has a full en suite bathroom with a ball and claw bath.

The Cottage : Our Self Catering Family Room – a master bedroom, bathroom—with separate shower, full kitchen and a large lounge (where we accommodate 2 single beds for children).  This is ideal for our longer staying guests. The room has a very homely, lived-in feel and is tastefully decorated in yellows and reds with hues of greens.
